WHAT  ?
The Basement is a youth club for young people aged 11 to 13 years old.  It aims to provide a safe environment for young people to enjoy a mixture of organised and informal recreational activities.

The programme includes "chill outs" with a choice of table games, computer games, some organised games or just an opportunity to socialise with friends.  Other evenings involve more organised activities perhaps with an invited guest. 

We also organise occasional evenings out to places such as Laser Quest, Ten Pin Bowling, Climbing Wall or Fun Pool.   Weather permitting, we  intend to do outside activities in small groups supervised by adults.

WHEN ?                                 
The Basement runs on Wednesdays during term time from 7:00pm to 8:15pm for year 7 and 8:00pm to 9:15pm for years 8 and 9.  

WHO RUNS THE BASEMENT ?
The Basement is run by Disley Baptist Church.  Leaders are volunteers from the church, parents and also from St. Mary's Church.

For safety of the young people and in order to comply with current legislation, all leaders undergo police checks.  We aim to ensure that the club is staffed by a sufficient number of male and female leaders every week.
